Authenticity: How to Embrace and Express Your True Self

"Just be yourself"......I don't know how many times I have told people this. How many times have we heard this from others?

It sounds simple, yet so hard at the same time. You'd love to just be yourself, but do you know who that person is.

We can get so caught up in being someone else, or somebody better that we often lose ourselves in the process of all this. How can we just feel comfortable being ourselves and not worrying so much about others but only focusing on who we are and what we love? To some people this can be so difficult but with others it can be so easy.

Being yourself means a few things:

  • Knowing what you value and living in alignment with your values

  • Accepting and embracing your appearance, intelligence, personality and talents

  • Knowing your likes and dislikes and establishing boundaries accordingly

  • Defining your own personal beliefs

  • Taking personal responsibility for your choices and actions

  • Having your own opinions no matter what others think

  • Letting down any walls or self judgement you may have

Becoming yourself takes time.....it won't happen overnight and be okay with that. It involves letting go of any masks that you may have put up and just being who you are without worrying what others think. I could go on and on about ways to become your true self.....over the next few days you will see me get into that. I feel once you you are finally your true self and are just able to be you then you will be the happiest you have been in all your life!

Stay tuned over the next few days on how to JUST BE YOU!
