Christmas is Almost here

What does Christmas mean to you? To me its about family.....family getting together and enjoying the love of one another. It's a time of joy, love and happiness. Is this true for everyone....no. Christmas can be a time of sadness and loneliness. A time of loss to where we are missing our loved ones. If you are one of these people that are missing your loved ones that aren't here look back at the memories that you had with them, the traditions that you used to do around the holidays. My grandma has been passed away since I was 20 years old....almost 23 years. She was one of the sweetest and most loving person ever that would do anything for everyone. Every Christmas we used to go to see the Nutcracker live at the Orpheum. Even though I saw it every year since I was little it was a tradition that my grandmother and I always had together. Every Christmas we used to make cookies.....I mean lots of cookies! Since my kids never got to meet their great-grandma its a time to hold those traditions in memory. We make cookies every Christmas as a family.....it reminds me so much of her and I in the kitchen that I miss her so much. So, even though its amazing as a family to be able to do this together it also helps me to remember times with my grandma that I still cherish to this day. So, as the holidays come find and do things that keep those memories alive of your loved ones that aren't here anymore. Have a Merry Christmas from my house to yours!
